      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Feb 2014

      Interview

I was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn about the position. After speaking with the recruiter, I was set up with a phone screen with an operations manager. This phone screen consisted of a fairly simple case about a call center. Only have to be able to do basic conversions and be able to explain basic business principles. After the phone screen, I was informed that I would be moving on to the on site interview in Richmond, VA. However, because they only have these one thursday every two weeks, I had to wait for 5 weeks after the phone interview to do this onsite interview. The onsite interview was very efficiently done. They give you transportation to Richmond, and provide a hotel room for the night. Two behavioral interviews, and two case interviews. The behavioral interviews were very typical behavioral questions, answer in the STAR method. The case interviews were slightly tricky, but essentially are just calculating profit under different scenarios. Also have to be able to explain business implications of different scenarios.

      Question 1

Probably the case of examining profitability of rewards credit card vs traditional credit card.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in May 2014

      Interview

After the initial case study over phone, I was called to Richmond for a day long process. The arrangements were excellent, from flight reservation to hotel to transportation. The interview day had 4 interviews- two behavioural and two case studies. I think I underestimated the behavioral interviews and did'nt go well prepared. The 1st case study on reward points was quite tough and I screwed it up under pressure. The second one on call center was easy though and I think I nailed that. But obviously, you need to do well in both the case study as well as the behavioral. So, prepare hard for behavioral, practice your responses with your friends/ well-wishers and ask if your responses sound convincing. I did not make it but I thought I got a fair chance.

      Question 1

The case study on rewards points. I am not allowed to disclose the questions.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Richmond, VA) in Aug 2011

      Interview

First, HR did phone screening. Then took 3 (Numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, behavioral )tests online. Then scheduled for on-site interviews that consist of 2 behavioral interviews and 2 case interviews. Case interviews are little bit tough. I have been told that results will be known in 3 to 5 days. I have not received any response for 5 days. I contacted the recruiter and she told I have not been selected. It looks like case interview is the most important thing in decision making.
