I interviewed for a Manager, Financial Risk Management role via a virtual call. The recruiter did not appear on camera, which made the interview feel impersonal. Two of my previous roles were brought up with questions about tenure, even though my experience matched the job description. If job length was a disqualifying factor, I believe my application should not have been moved forward.
After the interview, I received an immediate prompt to complete a detailed survey — which I did — only to be rejected without being moved to the next stage. While I understand that not every interview leads to an offer, it would have been more transparent and considerate to align expectations with their hiring flow.
The process felt like it lacked genuine follow-through compared to what was stated.
