I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Box
Interview
Met them at the career fair. Got scheduled for two back-to-back skype interviews.
First interview question was on designing an elevator control system. Second interview: question pertained to finding a pair/triple whose sum = 0 in a sorted array.
Interviews were pleasant overall

Question 1
The elevator question was unexpected. I had to discuss the features and design of my system with the interviewer and then code it up
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Box in Feb 2022
Interview
Take-home assignment, a code walkthrough after finishing, and a behavioral interview. There were office hours every week to ask questions about the take-home and about the company in general, to various eng/non-eng Boxers.

Question 1
Normal behavioral questions, make sure to clean up your code and think things through for the code walkthrough.
I applied online. I interviewed at Box in Mar 2021
Interview
The first stage was a HackerRank challenge with 120 minutes to do 3 questions. Be prepared to know strings, linked lists, and graphs. The second stage was a two-week take-home assignment. We had to write a complex game, which took me 3-4 full days. There were office hours where they explained the assignment and answered questions. The last stage was a 30 minute phone call with a recruiting member and a code walkthrough over Zoom. The phone call was the usual behavioral questions, like “tell me about yourself” and “describe a time when you had a disagreement with a team member”. In the code-walkthrough I had to add features to my game.
The recruiters were friendly and the process was organized. Their decision was not to move forward with me, but they said they had a positive experience with me. The only thing I didn’t like is that I didn’t get specific feedback on why I didn’t fit the role.

Interview
I was contacted after speaking with a recruiter at a career fair, then I set up two separate back to back interviews. The first interviewer did not speak english well and the second was about 30 minutes late for the interview, so I would rate the process negative, the elevator question was interesting though.

Question 1
The first question was about how to merge k arrays together, the second was to design an elevator control system. The ideal answer for the second one is actually a fairly intricate threading problem.
