      Graduate Electrical Engineer Interview

      17 Jul 2015
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Arup (London, England) in Mar 2011

      Interview

This was a graduate level interview, the process was very short and sweet, which is a blessing compared to the lengthy post-grad / post-qual interview process we have to endure. Arup paid for my travel and accommodation to London (I was a student in Edinburgh) so that was an exceptionally well received point.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There was a strong focus on General university background and outside interests - such as activities, societies or sports. I played hockey and was heavily involved in the organisation of the club, which I presume was of assistance. I presume the greater emphasis at the graduate stage is on personal skills and team fit.
