I applied online and was contacted immediately by the hiring manager who asked for me to come in--no phone interview. The hiring manager wrote that my background was "perfect" for the job. I came in and felt the interview went well; I met only with the hiring manager. I followed up the same day with a thank-you email and more information on my qualifications. Weeks passed and I heard nothing. I pinged the hiring manager and got no response. More time passed, no response, ever. A friend of mine had the exact same experience at Aria Systems, except for a different position. It is so very unprofessional to be called into the office, in person, and never receive a follow-up. If that is how a company treats prospective employees who they are presumably courting, I can only imagine how the treat the people who are hired. I am glad I dodged that bullet.
