I am sorry to say this but the interview process at Aptean is ridiculous, why have an aptitude test for a Technical Writer?
The questions are no related to technical writing. And you can't judge a technical writer by just asking them to get through the aptitude test. I saw candidates who had come for development, testing, and QA and couldn't clear it.
You should change the interview process.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aptean (Bengaluru) in Oct 2017
Interview
This has been the most ridiculously-designed interview process I have ever attended in my career. You will be called for the respective position after being informed that your profile is a perfect match. However, your capabilities of living upto that perfectness will soon die after taking up their tests.
First round is an Aptitude test that lasts for 20mins (ONLY) where you solve 50 questions. It is mandatory that you get through this aptitude test irrespective of whether the parameters being tested are put into use or not. Candidates of all streams, experience levels, and skill sets are put through this filter-cum-demotivate-the-candidate test.
Here is how you need to be prepared for it:
1) First of all, brace yourelf for what's coming ahead. Cracking it or not is secondary.
2) Prepare your brain to function as a calculator, dictionary, computer, or as "Google" in short.
3) Read as many English literature works as possible. Because, you won't be exposed to the English words they expect you to know otherwise.
4) Master your game of guesswork, because, that is exactly what you will end up doing when you are left with 10mins and 30+ questions to solve.
If you thought you survived through the aptitude, wait till you move to level 2: Cognitive section. You MUST answer the questionnaire of 28slides with 5questions each. Remember to know your selections of choices to the questions about your life and decision-making abilities as the same questions repeat later. (You cannot be so unsure of your own life!)
With 9+ years of experience, you are subjected to an aptitude test for a Senior Technical Writer position!!! Really??? Is that how you gauge a candidate for technical soundness? Let me remind you, as a technical writer, you are not expected to know hi-fi terminologies or other jargons which you are not expected to use in your writing. The principle of technical writing is be clear, consise, and crisp using simple language! And mathematical problems are the last thing a writer would want to solve. Leave it to the IIT aspirants.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You will not even meet the interviewer if you do not crack their entrance test. Forget the interview questions.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aptean (Bengaluru) in Sept 2017
Interview
The interview process and the roles being interviewed are absolutely non-related. I could not even reach the respective HR who called for the interview on the day of interview.
