Initial interview with the recruiter went smoothly and was easy to schedule, but the subsequent interview with the hiring manager was a scheduling disaster and massive waste of time. The interview with the hiring manager was initially scheduled for later the same week, but then was canceled with no explanation, just an automated message saying "sorry this interview didn't happen" with the option to reschedule. I rescheduled for the next week, but then I had to reschedule the second time because I got the flu, but trying to contact someone to let them know I had to reschedule was confusing with their scheduling system. I had 3 recruiting contacts on the email thread and none of them confirmed receipt of my ask to reschedule and there was no way to reschedule from the hub. Once I was recovered from the flu I rescheduled the hiring manager interview a third time, and they were a no show to the interview. I emailed the recruiter about 10 minutes in and didn't hear back until the next day and they offered to reschedule again, but I declined at that point.

Question 1
Standard recruiter screening questions because I never spoke with a hiring manager
I applied online. I interviewed at Apollo.io (Lexington Park, MD) in May 2024
Interview
How can such a simple interview process be so poorly executed?
Interviewing at Apollo was a wreck. I interviewed through final rounds
If you're going to send me written descriptions of what the interviews will be about then stick to the written plan that you gave me. Don't deviate from the expectations that you set in writing with the candidate.
Out of the 6 rounds of interviewing that I went through, 4 of which had specific descriptions, 3 were off expectations.
How does a company mess up like that? Are you guys actually reading the prompts/guidance you're sending me? Are you coordinating with interviewers? Or are you guys in such a hurry to get things done, you don't even pay attention to what you're sending?
Are you even aware that sometimes, you're sending conflicting instructions for the same interview? Didn't you agree to send me the details of the "homework assignment" by 5pm Wednesday? Oh you forgot?
What the heck is the matter with these people. These guys need to learn how to get simply things done correctly.
If you're interviewing for PM positions, then I'd say hold on for a wild ride where nobody really knows what the procedure is but they want you to hurry!
This was the biggest waste of time ever.
