I applied through other source. I interviewed at American Income Life (New York, NY) in May 2019
Interview
I received an email from "Louisiana Inc." about a job helping union members and other community service members understand their benefits. They told me they give training also. I was not told what the position was until I had to call back to ask.
I got multiple emails to confirm my interview over 4 days which was strange. I started to google them and Louisiana Inc. is not listed anywhere, but the address given is for American Income Life (another red flag).
I researched my supposed position and found the salary to be satisfactory but too good to be true. I tried all kinds of ways to find this Louisiana Inc, and it is NOWHERE!
I called the office phone listed for American Income, and no answer. I left a voicemail over the weekend. Called again the morning of my interview and still no answer. I even called the phone number on the emails, no answer, but I got another email AND Text to confirm my interview 🙄.
So when I drive up to the place, I see multiple cars all going in the same confused pattern as myself and then like 7 of us walk into this building together (red flag). Either it's a huge coincidence that all these people are here for interviews for other positions or this is a group interview and now I'm getting pissed.
They have us fill out the top portion of some paper and another red flag was asking if we have a valid driver's license and own a vehicle. This says to me that I'm going to be doing a lot of driving, otherwise why ask?
Everyone is called in one at a time and then I was called by a woman who is supposed to be a manager but seems high as hell and completely unkept.
She asks me her questions and never tells me a thing about the job. I had to have her admit that it was commissions me not salary. I told her I need stablity and great benefits for my family. She just kept shaking her head saying she thought the same as I did before she started working for them for a year.
She was really unconvincing and unprofessional so I was done.

There was a filter interview at first, then there was a real group interview, and then after that there was a final interview at which they decide if you make the fit and then decide wether or not to hire you.

Interview
I’ve only started with the beginning stages of the interview process, but so far I am extremely enthused. They are very informative, as well as provide lots of opportunity for growth in the company.
