I applied online. I interviewed at Aflac (New York, NY) in Apr 2015
Interview
This was a group interview, arranged through email, based, they said, upon a resume they found posted somewhere. I arrived and found out that it was a group interview. Other people were from all sorts of different backgrounds. Nobody seemed to be really looking for this type of job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview wound up being a group information session. It was not what I thought I was going to. No direct questions were asked of me.
1 main interview, very laid back. Met with account manager discussed position and certifications needed for the role. Role is very outbound heavy commuting to different locations such as schools and other main employers to get clients signed up

Question 1
How do you respond to rejection in a sales setting?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Aflac (De Zoom) in Oct 2025
Interview
First round was a group interview by zoom. After a late start, the host stated he'd just 'hung up on a broker' after that call had gone long, then argued that unlike other insurers, Aflac sales reps aren't pressured to sell to family. Many participants dropped, I was one of them. Really disappointing and bears out Aflac's reputation for bad practices and environment in the sales department.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Aflac (Fort Myers, FL) in Aug 2025
Interview
The first interview is a group zoom informational session. Then if interested a one on one 2nd interview. The second interview can be via video or in person. They sell you the job so you can sell for them. They sell you on you to be your own boss. 1099
