I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Advanced BioHealing (La Jolla, CA) in Mar 2012
Interview
Applied online end of Feb was contacted via telephone for a phone screening appointment. The appointment was set for a week later at 10am. Day of interview I was contacted one hour late by HR assistant to reschedule for 3pm same day. At 4pm I was contacted again to reschedule for the next day at 11am. I repeated the day and contact person's name to confirm and asked for a phone number to contact them. I was then moved to 11:30am within the same call. Next day at 11am I was phoned for the phone screening (scheduled time was 1130am). Screening lasted 45minutes. I asked a few questions and was never given a direct response nor a direct contact number, I was simply given the number of the La Jolla location which can be found online.
I was contacted a week later in March to set up a second phone screen with their HR director for the following week, Tuesday at 1pm. I was informed that he was only in the office M-W. Tuesday 1pm, no call. I contact the office and no answer. I had hoped for an email or phone call by the next day but nothing.
Still no response at all for the missed meeting or to my contacts.
I'd say the interview was easy considering the first and only contact included information about my resume.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Advanced BioHealing in Jan 2012
Interview
What is your favorite alcoholic drink? Not sure where this question came from. I felt the hiring DM was just looking for drinking buddy. Totally not appropriate.
Let me see your IPhone and contacts so I know who you know in the territory? This was also a question that should never be asked at an interview. My cell phone is not paid for by your company and when it is then it is public...until then it is non of your business. Why would an interview ask this. Again totally not respectful or appropriate. This had nothing to do with the position. I just felt like the Dm interviewing had no clue. He just talked about entertaining doctors and a $5K per month dinner budget to buy business. This should never be discussed in an interview.
