Two stage interview with various management- simple and to-the-point. They did not check references, though I was prepared. Some odd discussion about my age, but I would chalk this up to the individual and not policy.

Interviewed at Singapore site. Hiring manager asked was about EM experience. I asked if this position is for API or biologics as the JD did not mention and the site consists of 2 plants. The reply was biologics, and added on that the manager thought i would know it is biologics since EM was asked. it seems that the manager did not know that some API plants require EM as well and I replied the fact that API plant does have EM. After hearing my reply, the manager seemed unhappy. Moving on, the manager started humiliating my current position of "downgrading". It is clear that the manager did not know different companies have different practice about employee level. I hope the hiring manager would exercise more professionalism and be polite to interviewee in the future.
