I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ALTEO (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2017
Interview
Pretty standard interview format. However, the interview itself took a turn for the worst once I mentionned plans to go back studying, as it didn't seem to fit the frame they had in mind. It so appeared that they assumed that I was expecting to be entirely catered to during that time, or that I expected this to happen within the very first few months of employment. Obviously, that would be crazy to expect that... but they seemed to think this was my expectation. From that point on, the tone of the interview turned quite partonizing and presumptuous, not only on that point, but for all further points as well.
In short, I cannot say that the experience was anything thrilling. Instead of being treated like a candidate who was offering his services while keeping his future in mind, I was treated like a child who knew nothing about the business he is into. In my personal experience, this is the only interview in which this sort of incident happened.
It has been said that a company doesn't love you more than when they try to acquire your services. With what happened, the future looked bleak with them.
I did not even wait for an offer. There is no way I would deal with a company that handles matters the way they did.
Suggestion of a good read: "Respecting the Candidate", on AskTheHeadHunter. Can easily be googled.
