Does Spring Venture Group offer relocation assistance?

Pros

Licensed since 1983 (6 months with SVG) and this is an outstanding organization. 100% of their Promises have been kept. Terrific Benefit Package, Matching Charitable Donation program, unrivaled Marketing/Lead Generation, Turnkey Remote Set-Up.

Cons

This is not a part-time gig. You have to be ready to work. You will never have a lack of new clients to present to. It's like taking a drink of water from a Fire Hose sometimes, BEWARE :-)!

Does Spring Venture Group offer dental insurance?

Pros

Training was very engaging. They do help with getting your insurance license.

Cons

No work / life balance. If you are sick or plan on taking vacation / PTO, prepare to get grilled about using any of your time off since you won't be "helping" the company. Also, being sick or taking vacation means you are less likely to hit your sales quota, which means that Spring gets to keep all of the money you earned from closing an insurance policy. They pride themselves on being supportive of remote work, but monitor every single minute you are clocked in. If you get up to get water or get something to eat, you will have to explain why you were not on the phones during that time. You are not allowed to take a full lunch unless you want to make up that time at the end of the day, so you have to make something that can be prepared and eaten in under five minutes so you can get back onto the phones and start making the company more money. You're required to keep a webcam on at all times so Spring can monitor your every move and keep watch on all your activities. Everything we say is pre-scripted by the company. If you miss one word on the four-five page script, then you will be given a failing rating for compliance and made to take learning modules on your own time. You are frequently assigned learning modules, but since calls are back-to-back, there is no down time during which to take them. As these are one more thing that Spring requires from you and uses to evaluate your performance, you will have login early and do your learning modules off the clock so it doesn't count against your phone time. Marketing is highly deceptive and aimed at the elderly and disabled. They promise "money back every month!", "free money for groceries!" and "help paying your utilities!" when in reality these are very, VERY difficult to obtain. Prepare to take the heat for the company's deceptive marketing every time you have to tell someone that they don't get the "free foods card". Hours during the regular part of the year are tough. 9-10 hours a day is the minimum, with some Saturdays added in for good measure. During AEP season, prepare to never engage with another person that is not looking for "free foods cards". From October - December, the new minimum becomes 60-72 hours per week, and starting the day after Thanksgiving, it becomes a marathon of 12-14 hour days until AEP has ended. You have to sell three policies for one to stick past the required 91-day waiting period. With the minimum number of policies required to earn commission for this year being 72, that means you are required to sell 216 polices a month in order to make the minimum amount of commission. Again, if your net policies for the month hit 71, you won't be paid any of your commission. On top of that, they also raised the bar for selling ancillary insurance for accidents, dental, and vision policies as well. You have to sell a minimum number of policies that require hefty out of pocket payments every month to people who only live on social security in order to actually see any of your commission money that they promise you. You are encouraged to deceive people into picking an insurance plan that might not work the best for them, and then they have no choice but to stick with it because you had to make commission that month. I cannot stress this enough: Please find yourself a better job. If you are considering Spring, they will bleed you dry and leave you so mentally and physically exhausted that you have no time or energy for anything else but their work. Do not be fooled by the training - the production floor is nothing like training and the commission they promise is a joke. The fast-food restaurant near where I live is hiring for similar wages as what Spring is promising. Consider if you really want to give up your entire social and family life for slightly more than the wages of a fast food restaurant before committing to this company.

Advice to Management

Please consider making adjustments for work / life balance. This job is difficult and stressful enough without having to work marathon weeks of 72 hours or more.

On top of that, they also raised the bar for selling ancillary insurance for accidents, dental, and vision policies as well.

Does Spring Venture Group offer parental leave?

Pros

Things were okay for the first year or so, you can make good money in sales if you are willing to work 60+ hours a week year around and PTO is decent. If you’re fresh out of college and don’t care about retirement benefits, Health insurance, maternity benefits, or career growth you might have a slightly better experience than I did.

Cons

Things took a quick turn when the company decided to hire 1000 people in a year with no scalable process to hit hiring quotas for tax breaks. When things didn’t pan out (shocking) they fired 300 people in one day and demoted more than half of people in middle management. I personally went from 60k salary to 12 dollars an hour in a day. I personally think they did this so they wouldn’t have to pay out unemployment benefits or severance. So in other words they put me in a position where I couldn’t pay my bills but I also couldn’t apply for unemployment because technically they didn’t fire me. To add insult to injury, the entire time this was going on our executives kept repeating the same script, that this was a fun opportunity, a challenge, blah blah blah. If there was ever a time to put down the corporate kookaid this was it but they dug their heals in instead. Ruining people’s lives after so many spoke up and said this mass hiring plan wasn’t going to work isn’t “fun” or a “challenge”. The whole thing was so disorganized, they didn’t even have a plan to train or have us that were demoted ready to do our jobs, so even if we wanted to sell and make some sort of commission we can’t because the company didn’t handle or licensing properly. If I wanted to make sure I had a paycheck higher than 12 dollars an hour I have no ability to right now. A lot of their negative reviews seem to disappear so I would take the overall score with a grain of salt.

Does Spring Venture Group offer malpractice insurance?

Pros

At this point, there are zero.

Cons

Speaking of zero, they are keeping me from continuing to work with top carriers after leaving back in April. I gave them 5 years of my life and now they are giving me the finger. All I want to do is make a living for me and my family. Do not give these people your future, they are heartless. By the way, the States Attorneys office and the Arizona Department of Insurance backs me 100% asking for immediate carrier releases.

Advice to Management

Have a heart and let fellow humans make a living!
