How was the interview at Servcorp?

Pros

Their traning is great if you are able to learn just from doing online modules, there is hands on as well but with the amount of things comimng at you its hard to even focus on the task at hand. the small teams onsite are all nice

Cons

- I find great difficulty charging people for my time especially since we are encouraged to get to know our clients, it feels a little back handed and unfriendly. - All for looking proffesional but when your entire sense of self outside of the office is mocked on all of their "fasion guides" it starts to feel like highschool again. - Management can feel like they have a sense of superiority and it can be hard to talk with them. - As all their traning is online it can feel like a chore getting through all the modules your expected to do, especilly when you can't access them out of the office and must be done on a Servcorp computer. The only place I could do my training was at the front desk, where it is expected you schedule time in for it, which i understand. However even if you have secheuled the time in (or eevn have the time to do it at all) and your team knows, its nearly impossible to complete without being pulled away or being asked if i can do it another time yet we are reprimanded if it has not been done the day you try and get the course done. - They sell you the world in the interview but take everything with a few pounds of salt, they make these bonus' sound incredible but to get them you have to up-sell yourself to clients and they can be witheld for months to "review or check" them. - with the 'up-selling' yourself i found it like the office equivelent to a call girl, if you find joy in menial tasks this is for you.

How do employees feel about the requirements to work at Servcorp?

Pros

You will learn to do things your own. No departments will do it.

Cons

have worked for over 5 years and got selected as top seller two times but with only a paper in golden frame… no bonus or reward. A very bad, unethical, and selfish senior manager who employs all sources to look good in front of his manager and head office. They enforce the team to avoid honesty with clients to trap them with hidden costs on the contract. Senior manager avoids to hire qualified locals on good positions and keep weak foreigners surrounding him to ensure he control them. Managers actually doing almost everything even tasks unrelated to their job just to make them very busy all the time and save costs. In return, there is no appreciation or respect for any efforts no matter you working late or hard or even done tasks actually unrelated to job HR is a big mess in this firm which allows senior managers to disrespect the team, misbehave, and enforce them to do illegal things sometimes. Your future in this firm will be tied to CEO acceptance. When he “likes” you then you will be fine or forget promotion, or fair raise. Very high turnover because of the personal behaviors from the senior manager and his director. They will never respect your efforts and qualification, your senior manager will be less qualified and less education than you but he will be over everyone because of flattery towered his manager. IT team lazy who will teach the team to do their work on behalf of them. and they will make your life hard if you complain about this matter. IT spying on team phone calls and emails, and use it on their benefits. No matter you have reported to the CEO or send him your thoughts or complaints, he will treat you very badly as you always wrong and never understand. Which that motivate weak sinner managers to continue on their negative behaviors. Manuals pointing that you can anytime pick the phone and call CEO, in fact, that is just a quote to make the firm looks good, in reality, you will get" this is not your business”

Advice to Management

Save your efforts and hard work in a respectful firm where your qualification and hard work will make you promoted organically. And ensure that HR is existing to maintain rights and fair practice. This firm has nothing from the above advice.

They will never respect your efforts and qualification, your senior manager will be less qualified and less education than you but he will be over everyone because of flattery towered his manager.
