Does Naughty Dog have any sort of mentoring programme?
Pros
Working on amazing content. If you can find someone willing to give you advice / mentorship, you can learn a lot. Fun workplace decorations.
Cons
Not great at communication. Rigid hierarchy where you won’t be valued or heard unless in the “upper” management teams. The commute is a pain. It feels very much like a boys club. They will fight you tooth and nail on pay increases or upward mobility.
Advice to Management
Listen to all levels of employees, and be more open to mentorship with newer and younger employees. Do not encourage overtime or insane hours without pay increases. Work on communication between departments to minimize backup of work and stress on development teams.
