What is it like working with clients or customers at LEWIS Global Communications?

Pros

- Great place to network with clients from different industries (especially B2B tech) - Build skills in pr & digital area - Perks for employees - Caring manager who would help out with workload & prioritisation

Cons

- Condescending co-workers in senior level are found in the workplace. Not a great place to grow, whether in career prospect or mentally. - Seniors tend to have bad communication skills & often give misdirection. This would lead into work that they are not expecting & in return, you would need to take the fall. - Understand the commonality of work life balance in an agency, but if co-workers are comfortable with working up till 2am - it shouldn't be applied to others. They should respect other people's time & not message after working hours or during AL/sick leave.

Advice to Management

To get rid of any bias feelings. Red flags raised should have actions taken but management only give warning off the books because the said employee is one of their favourite. This is unfair to junior employees who are trying to make the situation better,

What are working conditions like at LEWIS Global Communications?

Pros

The junior level staff looks out for each other. There are definitely a few key mid-level leaders that show genuine care for lower-level employees, but this is not the norm.

Cons

-There have been good times at Lewis, but those days are long gone. Before coronavirus, workloads were already out of control and teams were thrown to the wolves for whatever clients demanded with minimal opportunities for growth. -The coronavirus response has been for the CEO to remain locked away and refuse to even send one email to his employees, while some employees are furloughed and others have pay and hours cut. His first email that was sent after more than 2 months of silence was a Lewis anniversary congrats email to one of his top dogs, ignoring the rest of the staff suffering with 0 acknowledgement. -Employees have been fed platitudes about how inspiring and resilient Lewis is, while people are begging for minimal consideration and assurance about job security and being ignored. - The CEO's first communication to employees (when he finally decided it was worth his time to communicate during a global pandemic and rampant protests over civil rights issues) was a video message that was insulting at best and heartless at worst. It was a tone-deaf, generic message about "what a hell of a week it's been" and told employees that these times have shown who the real leaders are, when he has been absent all along. - Hardly any diversity. A supportive culture exists within regular staff at offices that is not supported by the efforts of the C-suite who make decisions. BLM has gone completely ignored and no commitments to supporting a diverse staff have been made. Hardly any POC in the company. -Aside from this, clients are uninspiring, B and C list companies who Lewis sells pipe dreams to and then throws the staff on the grenade to make the impossible happen.

Advice to Management

-Stop insulting your employees’ intelligence by making meaningless, phony efforts to boost morale and ignoring their real needs.

How is the work/life balance at LEWIS Global Communications?

Pros

Good PTO work life balance

Cons

Poor executive leadership, old school values, poor HR

Advice to Management

Very interesting you would put up job postings after furloughing and cutting hours to a majority of your US team without being communicative. For a CEO that has two leadership books, their has been poor leadership in regard to the COVID-19 situation and overall communication skills. There are a few leaders at this company that are amazing but unfortunately the bad outshines to good. If you are looking to work at a place that values diversity and inclusion, this isn’t the place for you. In today’s climate it’s important company’s are working towards representation and a inclusive work culture. This company won’t even make a statement on the BLM movement. They need a serious overhaul of leadership and a lot time is needed to be reflective of this companies values.
