What kind of career opportunities exist at Employsure?

Pros

Employsure is an organisation in a huge growth phase and so there is constant opportunity to grow professionally both through formal internal training and through everyone in the organisation who is always willing to go above and beyond to facilitate growth. And in addition to that, financially it’s a very rewarding company to work for if you’re willing to put in the yards and get good at your craft. The company has some great internal incentives and considering how remote you can feel as a road based resource, they’ve built a great, extremely collaborative culture.

Cons

You do spend a lot of time on the road generally and the workload takes some management as the volume of meetings tends to come in waves... You can have enough time to be 100% up to date with process and admin one week, and then not enough time to have lunch the next...

Advice to Management

The teams might benefit more from specific job-based training and utilising some of the video conferencing tech to digitally bring the team together more frequently.

Does Employsure have any sort of mentoring programme?

Pros

1. Lots of practical and hands-on learning 2. They invest a lot into you 3. Great work culture 4. Awesome people 5. Abundance of support 6. Free breakfast 7. Hired as a group As a fresh graduate straight out of university, my graduate position at Employsure was my very first full-time role. Adjusting to the whole scene of full-time work and “having no time to do anything else” wasn’t the easiest. But with the help of your colleagues and mentor, made it a lot easier and definitely more enjoyable. Getting hired as a group is a major perk in my opinion. This means whatever challenges you need to overcome, you have a team right there with you overcoming the same challenges. You’re all there supporting each other and it honestly feels like a little work family. This is a value-based company, which makes this company so unique. This means that you don’t need to worry about toxic workplaces where you feel cornered or pressured to be the last one to leave. It’s a workplace that recognises all your achievements and ensures that you’re constantly growing, and not only as a worker but as a person. A company that actually cares about you. I had no experience and little to no knowledge on employment relations. But now I have an abundance of knowledge in this area and it’s all thanks to Employsure. To be honest, I never thought I’d be chosen for this role. I was fresh out of uni with nothing relating to employment relations on my resume. But this company doesn’t care if you have the best grades or the most experience, they care more about your values; and to me, that’s what makes Employsure such a great workplace. They train you up really well and spend time and money on making sure you succeed. An example of this is having a full trip to Sydney paid for (meals and accommodation included!), just for your induction into the company. It’s been a great four months and I know it’s only going to get better, so I am definitely looking forward to a fulfilling career with Employsure!

Cons

1. Work hours are a bit long 2. VERY fast-paced The company itself is very fast-paced, but the graduate program? That’s a-whole-nother level. You go from having no knowledge at all about employment relations to reading awards, drafting contracts and writing up disciplinary invitations in just a span of four months! Definitely not for the faint-hearted, but in all honesty this really isn’t a con. The program really challenges you and accelerates your growth which is amazing. If you’re not used to/willing to be in a fast-paced environment, then this position won’t be for you.

Advice to Management

Maybe implement 2 hot brekky days? :)

But with the help of your colleagues and mentor, made it a lot easier and definitely more enjoyable.
