Does Citi have a pension plan?
Pros
- Good tech stack experience (team dependent) - very friendly helpful team and great manager (again team dependent) - Good pension, if you put in the max amount it works out something like they put in 11% of your pay, I put in 8% and other benefits like life assurance - graduates do a project so your guaranteed some sort of experience - access to Udemy for business for learning - you can get virtual awards with points which can be used to buy vouchers - welcome bonus when starting (however you can’t leave the company until the program is finished or you have to pay it back)
Cons
- What kinda work you get/ how much you get is really dependent on what team your placed in. Thankfully I got a good team and have had a decent amount of work and have got to work with modern technologies. I don’t seem to have deadlines for things so you can do it at your own pace (this can also be bad as it makes me slightly lazier than I should be). However I know people who have been placed on teams and have had next to no work to do which isn’t great for your development and gaining experience and also makes the job very boring. - not as sociable for grads as I’d hoped - Belfast office isn’t as nice as I thought it would, not very modern - no free parking - not included in the bonus in your first year (not sure if you even are in second year either) - decent salary overall for Belfast when including the welcome bonus but still less than other Belfast companies even though it is one of the biggest banks in the world..
