Does there seem to be diversity at Cheil Worldwide?
Pros
Great learning experience working on Samsung account. They often have workshops and playbooks from HQ that you can learn a lot from.
Cons
The Korean culture is oppressive. I was with the Singapore office and they had enough Korean expats in there to influence the top down culture, even though there is a local MD. When you are asked to do something, just do it, don't question it. Chances of you getting better opportunities are based on whether you suck up to the Korean mgmt. People who say yes to everything are going to succeed better here. Due to the Korean culture, it's not encouraged that you ask clients a lot of things, you are just expected to know what the client wants (mind reading?). It's a place with no gender diversity as well, very male-dominant. They also don't value the people and we often all feel like in a never-ending rat race, campaign after campaign, fighting fires after fire. Depending on which team you're on, some can have very late nights and no work life balance. And even if you work late, it is stated that you must come in on time the next time. They track what time you scan in.
