What is the company culture like at CatchOn?
Pros
Tight team culture Lots of opportunities to learn diff comm disciplines Exposure to strategic brand work not common for PR Good mentoring if you end up with good supervisor Training workshop & subsidies
Cons
A lot of emphasis on learning fundamental things which can be tedious Challenging keeping up with client expectations Sometimes hard to manage multiple supervisors

What are co-workers like at CatchOn?
Pros
- Fun colleagues, they are all foodies - Outstanding client profiles - A lot of free food/ snacks - Good media exposure in lifestyle & travel sectors
Cons
- Poor Management - Hired people with no management experience to takeover the management roles - Bias & Favoritism - Expats/ native English speakers had more advantages at work, even though the fact the company mainly dealt with local clients and media - No Career Progression - You only get promoted when they suspect you are going to quit; Very unclear career terms and progression - No Tech Support - The gadgets in the office are stuck in time, with old PCs, small monitors, dirty keyboards and mouses; Still using manually entered-excel sheets as database - High expectations for the employee but offer low salary - Salary is low compare with other agencies, year-end bonus is less than 1 month salary - No flexibility - no flexible working hrs, no flexible dresscode, no flexible WFH policy
Advice to Management
A more transparent working environment, show more appreciation to the employee by giving actual rewards like promotions, raise or a decent bonus
