Does Aksia have any sort of mentoring programme?
Pros
The firm did a surprisingly good job of merging the 2 firms they acquired during Covid (Alignium and TorreyCove). There is a real investment in their research teams- they're really looking for out-of-the-box thinkers, there is a solid culture of informal mentorship, and there's a lot of room for growth.
Cons
It's an advisory business so the comp won't be as high as GPs', especially at the junior levels - but if you want solid investment training and still have a life (as opposed to jr roles in IB or at a fund) it's a really good place to start your career
Advice to Management
Continue to invest in some DEI programs and management training for current and emerging leaders. There's a lot to be said for the entrepreneurial culture at Aksia, but you've grown so much so quickly and there needs to be more training for managers / better succession planning.
