Former Employee - Sales Representative

I worked at Eli Lilly and Company full-time for more than a year

Pros

They truly have some great products and they are a great company to work for. They invest heavily in the success of their sales teams. Their educational programs are very thorough. Rewards and... recognitions are high if you're a performer.

Cons

Slow career development if you are a sales rep. The variable cash incentives could be higher.

Advice to Management

Allow more top performers the opportunity to fast track.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

I have been working at Genentech full-time for more than 8 years

Pros

I am thrilled to be contributing to the fight against cancer. Genentech is a place where I can make a positive contribution, and I'm proud of every life we make better through the drugs we bring to... market.

Cons

Genentech is a place where you can bring your whole self to work...as long as it is sufficiently progressive. I'm not even conservative, just not sufficiently woke to really fit in here. Some days I... feel like I need to pretend to fit in. Living in the Bay Area is just so expensive and the commute is awful! I just wish GNE didn't have to be all the way in SSF!

Advice to Management

It'd be great for GNE to have offices outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. We collaborate with Switzerland every day--why can't we have more geographic options within the US? The Eastern time... zone would be so much easier for working with Europe.
