I know of an employer that employs asian females almost exclusively in their production area. The job is mostly soldering through hole components. The pay isn't very high. There are about 40 people working in that production area and it's 95% asian females. The odd part is there are two leads and a supervisor in that area and they are all white. It really seems like race based hiring practices.
Engineers should probably form unions.
👀 What's the pettiest thing a manager has ever done to you or someone you know?
If every employee had an AI assistant that doubled their productivity, would companies hire fewer people or expect twice as much work?
We need to stop the AI initiative. This is becoming a wrecking ball, and I only foresee getting worse. How can we make noise to put these types of software to its end?
Slalom is a decent consulting firm, good work life balance, amazing culture, challenging work. The compensation is less than the Big 4, but could be considered worth it, given trade off for WL balance and the amazing people. Has many PM roles available, especially on the Salesforce side of things.
MBB, LEK, EY-P, S&, A&M, Oliver Wyman, Alix Partners, ZS, Booz. Probably more I forgot but there’s plenty it just depends what you want to do.
Tech implementation would be great. I’ve honestly just been in government, on government contracts, or working with government clients my entire career. Looking to venture away from government lol.
DM me for referral in ZS Associates.
Hello, is there another way to connect you? I can’t DM on here
Just out of curiosity, I would suggest not limiting yourself to the Consulting domains. For instance, most Tech firms e.g. Google, FB, LinkedIn would also have teams focused on Government relationships
