Gender discrimination question: I recently flew First Class, and I discovered some airlines have male and female amenity bags. That led me down a rabbit hole and, as it turns out, many airlines have gendered bags (Emirates, Qatar, Turkish, Cathay Pacific). Not only are the colors and styles of the items inside different (e.g. pajamas), but the items themselves. Seems like textbook gender discrimination (it also promotes binary gender identity). Based on this, is there a possible legal case?

Netflix is great at collabs! I loved the Wednesday ones, but I think this is quite clever as well. They are collaborating globally with Anheuser-Busch to promote their shows. They are even doing packaging as part of the deal. The shows they listed are in UK in Korea. I would think any reality show, sports obviously, would go well with beer or “Mad Men” and “The Ranch” in repeats. Do you have any you think would do well? https://www.reuters.com/business/media-telecom/netflix-signs-co-marketing-deal-with-ab-inbev-promote-tv-shows-beer-2025-09-22/

What are your thoughts on binary gendered amenity kits on airplanes? I recently flew first class and discovered some airlines have gendered amenity kits. I'll attach a picture (for example, the women's kit might be a lighter, "feminine" color like purple, the fragrances inside might be floral vs. woody, and it might include a handheld mirror or hair tie). This strikes me as discriminatory. TOTALLY ACKNOWLEDGING that this is a "privileged" problem, what are your thoughts?

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m new to the world of whiskey just recently started exploring it and already loving the complexity and depth 🥃 (also yes, I’m a woman, and no, I don’t only drink wine 😉) Would love some recommendations from you all: Any brands or series that are smooth and beginner friendly? Anything that’s worth collecting or gifting? Bonus if it’s got a great story behind it! Thanks in advance excited to learn from this amazing group!

Interesting take from the Pernod Ricard CEO - I have been thinking for a while that the increasing momentum towards less drinking/sobriety is a big threat to alcohol brands. It sounds like instead of sparking a debate, they are taking a data-driven approach to continue to drive sales. Do you think the future of big alcohol brands is in jeopardy? https://www.marketingweek.com/pernod-ricard-data-not-perception/

What a cool concept from Heineken, tailoring a shopping experience for South Africa. I imagine South Africa could be a priority market for them, and while this may impact profits from travellers, its an exceptional move for brand loyalty. What are you thoughts? https://www.adweek.com/adweek-wire/heineken-launches-bar-de-change-a-bureau-de-change-but-for-beers/?itm_source=parsely-api

The collab I didn't know I needed was Rita's and Bird Gang Spirits. Apparently, they're going to have limited edition mango and black cherry-flavored vodkas.. which are both my favorite water ice flavors. Who's a Rita's water ice fan? Just curious, but does the brand's consistent association with alcohol change the way you see it?

If you had to stick with one airline loyalty program for the next 5 years, which would you pick? I keep bouncing between Delta, United, and American depending on where the promos are, but it feels like I’m spreading myself too thin. Would love to hear which one has actually given you the best long-term value.

I try my best not to let marketing get to me, and my way to do it is to just block it out entirely. Long story short, I got a $50 Starbucks gift card and want to spend it all, or at least most of it.. but don't know what to get. What's their best holiday special beverage or food that you'd recommend for me?

I recently saw someone joke that FAANG is dead and it's now GAYMAN (Google, Apple, Y Incubator, Meta, Amazon, Nvidia) Obviously, it's a joke and Y Incubator isn't public, but I do think FAANG is outdated. Does anyone know the new acronym? Is Netflix out and Nvidia in? Is it MAANG? MAANNG?
