This industry is a disaster - a clown car skidding into a dumpster fire on bald tires. It's worse than the Trump administration, which I didn't think was possible. Agencies, clients, consultancies, and holding companies - a total shit show. Half the staff gets laid off every quarter - leaving the remaining staff to juggle 48 brands, 900 Zooms, 2 unpaid pitches, 12 “quick-turn requests, and the client who wants a Super Bowl spot for the price of a Big Mac. Jesus farting Christ!

I work for a medium sized saas company in the fintech sector. They’ve recently changed their policy regarding equity awards so that only senior leadership are eligible for RSUs. The company cites market research as their motivation and claims most in house counsel roles are not receiving equity until higher up. My boss thinks if we gather some info maybe we can change their minds at least with respect to counsel. If you’re getting annual equity awards, what is your title and how much is it?

Hey Fishies - do any of you have advice for getting better at final-round super days with partners / directors? I find I'm able to make it past the first round case as an experienced hire pretty easily but I really struggle with some of the extra pressure testing and challenge associated with final rounds. Just wrapped up a series of interviews with a T2 that I was excited about and I'm pretty sure I didn't make the cut so any advice would be helpful.

I'm torn between two offers: * FANG Chief of Staff ($600k (D1 and this feels super low), prestige, network, but high demands/commute). * PE-backed consulting niche services VP ($450k + comm. + $2M equity target, familiar remote team, aggressive growth goal). My gut says #2, but FANG is FANG. Help me weigh!
