Last year's evaluation: "excellent job overall, work on proactive communication." Me this year: communicates with partner from outside group, who brought me in last min as a specialist, about upcoming deadlines and travel. Asks partner if it's possible to have advance notice of the next fire drill. Partner thanks me profusely for all my work. This year's evaluation from said partner: "How dare you expect a partner to mold themselves to your needs? Take ownership of matters." What gives?

Interesting. I hope this means we can’t leverage on our experience and learnings to advance our careers after leaving Protiviti….. Protiviti Inc. v. Davis, Shockley & SolaSec LLC - Filed on July 2, 2024 in the Northern District of Texas, Protiviti alleged that two former employees (Caleb Davis and Kyle Shockley), now with their startup SolaSec LLC, misappropriated confidential trade secrets and violated employment agreements .

How is Protiviti Tech Audit/Advisory, just got an offer for a senior role coming from another mid firm (GT, RSM, BDO, Baker Tilly etc…). Are they any different, more demanding? I’ve been pretty fortunate to work on longer term engagements and have a great work life balance for the past few months and expecting to continue that, but my utilization has depleted heavily and most likely layoff are coming soon for me.

Anyone working at ProcDNA ? I've heard negative reviews about the company and wanted to get perspectives from current or former employees. One thing I've heard repeatedly is that company may be leveraging materials, frameworks and approaches commonly used at ZS Associates but delivering at lower cost. How accurate is this perception ? what is the reality in terms of project quality, client work, leadership and growth ? would appreciate honest feedback

      Job Hunting in Tech

Working at Intellect IT(Melb CBD) has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. From day one, I felt part of a supportive, down-to-earth team. The directors genuinely care, and that shows in the culture. My ideas are heard, my work is valued, and I’ve been encouraged to grow in ways I didn’t expect. I get to work with smart, kind people who are always willing to help. It’s a place where you feel trusted and empowered to do your best.

Based on my personal experience, I would encourage life sciences professionals to carefully evaluate opportunities at ProcDNA before joining. I found the work to be heavily support-oriented and less strategic or innovative than I had expected. For those looking for cutting-edge analytics, consulting, data science, or technology-focused work, it may not align with your career goals. Continued in comments

I’m torn between focusing on building passive income streams or just going all-in on growing my total net worth. Part of me loves the idea of having steady cash flow now, dividends, rental income, whatever, but I also know that prioritizing growth could pay off more in the long run. It feels like a trade-off between enjoying some freedom today and maximizing future potential. Which do you prioritize?

I have an offer from Proxima and Accenture (procurement practice). Which one to take? 3 YOE and Accenture providing 20% higher pay. Relatively same title. Proxima is growing quickly and work with Bain - so some positive exposure? Accenture has a larger team, more variety of projects, etc. But i've heard of their struggle to retain talent the last few years

I keep hearing “act like you already have the role” if you want the promotion, and I get the logic. But sometimes it feels like you’re just doing the higher-level work for free while the title (and comp) stays the same. I’m willing to stretch, but I’m not trying to be taken advantage of. Where’s the line between being proactive and being used?
