Lord’s test pitch gets demerit points and the Brits seem to have acknowledged it. Same thing happens in India and our captains don’t seem to like it and blame ICC of double standards. Do we often get defensive or am I assuming something inaccurate?

20% of the world population, 6th largest economy by GDP, lots of fans who follow the game (EPL, la liga, Euro), but India fails to qualify for the World Cup time after time. Never have! The barriers for entry are low too - merely a ball. Countries in Africa/South America regularly qualify, but we just can’t seem to. What gives? We also punch way below our weight in the summer and Winter Olympics but no where as bad as the football World Cup.
